Overview
Group-decision making through voting is an essential process for many organisations. Also during this corona crisis, VoteRemote allows your organisation to vote without people having to be physically present. No matter where they are in the world, shareholders or members of your cooperation or association can vote securely, efficiently and of course these votes are well documented. VoteRemote also makes proxy voting or early voting possible.
Safe, efficient and well documented
Voting with VoteRemote is secure, thanks to sophisticated encryption. Participants have full insight into the entire voting process. The voting results are irrevocably logged using blockchain technology.
An environment for every role
VoteRemote has room for every role.
The meeting organiser prepares the votes in an online agenda module, where they link the votes to the relevant agenda items. (This online environment can become the basis of a full paperless meeting solution.)
The chairman starts and stops the voting process in their chairman’s dashboard, where they can also monitor the votes that have been cast.
Participants log in to their secure online environment or use the special VoteRemote voting app (native for iOS, Windows and Android).
Voting via Web or App
Users vote via the web (where they log in to their environment) or in the special VoteRemote voting app (for Windows, Android and iOS).
Every participant who is authorised to vote gets to see an agenda with votes in this environment or voting app. As soon as the chairman starts the voting process, they can vote. When the chairman stops the voting process, the result is immediately visible in the participants’ web environment and apps.
Robust security
Communication between the server and participants complies with the latest security standards, i.e. https protocol with SSL certificates. User authentication takes place employing member-ID hash encryption. This Hash uses 256bit encryption technology and consists of 64 characters. The Hash is stored on the server.
The system checks the member ID every time the participant connects to the server in the browser or app. After each session, the login permission on the web or in the app is wiped.
Participants can add a layer of security by setting a six-digit pin that must be entered every time they log in to vote.
SSO (single sign-on) is also possible for both web environment and the voting app.

Paperless meeting, formalities and requests
The VoteRemote agenda module can easily be upgraded to a complete paperless meeting solution. In addition to the VoteRemote app, each participant gets access to the highly advanced meeting app to which meeting organisers distribute the agendas and agenda documents. The app allows participants to annotate these meeting documents and even share notes with fellow participants. Moreover, participants always have the most up-to-date version of the agenda available to them.
Organisers can also use the agenda module to send queries or requests to participants to sound them out about topics and agenda items before the meeting. In this way, agenda items can easily be prioritised or bundled together to form a consent agenda.
